1/8th to go...

They are almost one!

This time last year Leah had a big belly, was on bed rest, and we were freezing even with our winter coats on in the house. This little boys were just waves and rolls in the belly. I had no idea how much I would love them.

So tonight is going to be busy busy to get the house clean before we travel, a must. And get the kitties situated for our trip. We get to go to the boy's first birthday party!!!!!!! So excited!

Green eyes...

I have to admit I am jealous.
I am jealous of my friends. I wish I could be more happy for them. Now I am ashamed of my jealousy.

I want a house. I want roots. I want to be a grown up. I am tired of somedays...

I can't take anymore...

This week traffic has been awful. Just bad bad bad.

Monday- Wreck on the drive home
Tuesday- Wreck on the way to work
Wednesday- 2 Wrecks on the way to work- I swear.
Thursday- Wreck on the way to work
Friday- No wreck but fog which I guess means it should take me about 50 mins to make it in. grrrr

But! Yes a but!! Wednesday the Sheriff was observing my 4 way stop by our apartment.

It has always been bad, people driving on the shoulder and stuff. We got a signal light at the freeway which helped alot, but they left this 4 way just a couple hundred feet away. Big mistake. And with the grand opening of our gas station at the corner of the 4 way, it has been mayhem. People going loco and cutting through the parking lot, driving on the shoulder, not waiting their turn. Loony.

So yesterday the Sheriff was directing traffic!! I think we did need a lesson in how to operate at a 4 way stop, like the weeks after Ike weren't practice enough? Did I see any shoulder driving? Nope. Did I see any cutting through the gas station parking lot? No. AND did I spend 15 minutes stopped at this 4 way? NO!

So why can't we get a signal here please? I am begging. Or just have the Sheriff direct traffic every day.

The plague and the History of the World....

:: David caught it. The icky stomach flu going around.
Saturday night after we went to see a friend's concert in Downtown, David got sick. Poor thing. All Sunday he had a high fever, but nurse Analee got it down.

I need to save my time off to visit my sweet little tweenies on their birthday in a couple of weeks. Therefore the Clorox wipes have come out... with a great show of force. Although David is quite aware of my intentions of NOT getting sick he stuck his entire hand in my mouth yesterday, by accident I hope. He was trying to hug me, as a joke I hope, and I was running away. Instead of grabbing me and pulling me back his slimy, diseased hand went into my mouth. I didn't swallow just brushed and brushed and brushed.

:: David is taking geology this semester and needed to study instead of keep me company. I know, totally unfair.

What do you need to study?
The history of the earth.
Psh! That's easy. Dinosaurs, Sasquatch, Lord of the Rings, Dark Ages and today!
He thought it was pretty funny and he drew me a picture. I think he should give it to his teacher!

Janubrary....

Is it just me or did January blow by at Mach 5? I don't even remember it.

Is it seriously Febuary?

Ding Dong the storage unit is gone...

:: Several months ago our storage unit started raising our rent, higher, higher and higher. In January I said to my self, "Self, no more! We have to be out of the storage unit by February." So this whole month we have been weeding through the junk and making piles; keep, give away, toss.

This is a VERY big SHOUT OUT to my parents who are generously letting our stuff sit in their attic. And all the help they have given us to get it moved around. They were involved in several of the phases of this move. Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!

On Saturday night we finished moving everything out, swept and took our lock. Our storage unit was gone! This marks yet another chapter in Married Move 2 Phase 10. If you recall my explanation of this horrendous moving around. To get us to Houston has taken 10 separate phases, and I am starting to feel like all we do is move.
