The neck is back. I have been trying to kick this neck pain for weeks. I have never gotten 100% better.
:: The last couple of days have brought more pain and stiffness. :/ Not cool.
:: Time is going by really quickly. It is already April? It is going to be June before I know it. Lots of changes coming up in June, hopefully. Stay tuned.
:: This weekend was so pretty outside. Why can't Houston stay cool in the summer. I am not looking forward to the face melting summer temps. Not to mention people are already gearing up for hurricane season. I am guessing everyone will be ready this time.

It started with a cake walk....
I have won 2 things in my life time.
One was a cake at a cake walk when I was 4. (A little bit of a sore subject. The cake was used for my mom's birthday cake. I don't know why it bothered me so much. I am over it now. Sorry Mom.)
The second thing I have won was at my eighth grade dance! I won a gift bag with a cheeseball, Now that's what I call music cd (I think Melanie M. still has this.) and Clueless on VHS. It was a surreal moment. :)
But, my fine readers, I am SO PROUD to announce that I can bump up my winnings. I have now won 3 things in my life time!!
I won a new blog design for Leah! Maybe this can redeem my bratty display after the cake walk. A couple weeks ago, I was on my weekly blogstalk when I came across a contest to win a free blog redesign. I immediately thought of Leah. And entered this post:
Today, I checked my blog and on the previous post there is a comment from Jennifer with Baby Blog Addict saying I WON!!
Leah will be receiving a blog redesign from Sharon with Redbud Designs. Check her out!
Thank you thank you thank you!

"I am posting for my amazing sister. She teaches at head start and has 1 year old twin boys! Her blog is in serious need of a makeover. She might actually blog more if it was cute.
I know Sharon through club, SiggieSisters, so I blogstalk. :)
I love Sharon's designs and think The Idea Farm would be great for my sister's blog!"

Where is my nightlight?....
When I was young I had nightmares more than the average kid I would say. (That needs to be confirmed with my parents) Unlike most people my nightmares never stopped or slowed down.
I usually have about 1 nightmare a week, this is not an exaggeration. I really have a lot of bad dreams.
This week has been a bad dream week.
*Sunday- I was a POW in WW2 in Guam in which I was stabbed in the back of the head.
*Monday- Pregnant dream.
*Tuesday- Dinosaurs.
I would say my most common nightmare is the Dino dream. Many times I am running with Rigby or hiding with Rigby.
I would say I have the dinomare twice a month.
What is up with that? Stress?

Blog Snacks- A healthier alternative
:: I am proud to report a weekend a sleep. Wahoo!
:: I am not really sure where March has gone. The months are FLYING by this year. It feels like February.
:: Pretty little doves are hanging out around our apartment. Abbey loves to look, lovingly of course. Spring is here.

Sleeeeeeeep.....
I slept last night!
It wasn't like normal, I still tossed and turned and was awake for maybe half of the night. But I got a few hours and I feel renewed!
Last night on the ride home, yes David is still driving me, I noticed the Ford dealership by our apartment was had trucks on the lawn and marked up all crazy like.
So I asked David "WOAH, when did they do that?!"
"Uh... like 2 weeks ago."
"Nu uh. No way. I would have seen that."
"Uh no. 2 weeks ago. But in your defense you haven't been able to turn your head to see it."
So that is how out of it I was these last two weeks. Drugged and superhero neck range of motion.
But I am BACK!!!

2 weeks. From CT Scan to Mechanic...
Two Weeks ago began what I didn't know was the start of a massive unraveling.
:: I hurt my neck. As my previous post states
:: Went to the Doctor.
:: Dr. Gave me medicine.
:: Medicine not helping and running out of sample!!
:: Dr. denied my request for more meds.
:: TOTAL breakdown at work....in front of MY BOSS!!!
:: Allergic reaction, face numbing and swelling... fun times.
:: Rush to infectious disease Dr. to make sure I am do not have encephalitis or meningitis.
:: He orders a CT scan.
:: At hospital for hours, can't lay down, neck killing me, face still numb.
:: Missed uncle's birthday party, not to mention the twins.
:: Wake up morning after CT scan as bad as the first day of neck injury, now chest muscles, throat, chin pulled and VERY tender to the touch. Face still numb.
:: CT scan normal! Referred to Rheumatologist.
:: Rheumatologist is great! Gives me good drugs and "shock" treatments. I feel great!:: Bed rest is ordered. I was in bed ALL weekend.
:: Monday my tummy is upset. I stop taking all meds.
:: Don't sleep Monday night, throw up instead. Fun.
:: David's car breaks down. Are you kidding me?:: Tuesday my tummy is upset all day. Don't sleep Tuesday night.
:: Wednesday my tummy is upset. Dr. says medicine just has to make its way out of my body it will take a couple of days.
:: David's car has returned.
:: Don't sleep Wednesday night, see a theme here??:: Thursday, oh Thursday. Tummy feels ok..., sleep deprived, tired of working at like 50%, tired of falling apart. Venting into the blogosphere. Hoping for a night of comfortable rest.

Rice sock...
Sigh.
I hurt my neck a week ago. It was either on Wednesday or Thursday. I felt ok Thursday morning but started to get a stiff neck.
Then, there is much argue among co-workers/David as to what I actually did, Thursday night after my drive home I become immobile.
Friday I had intense neck pain and shoulder pain which has not subsided. I am out of sick days and time off... so I am at work with a rice sock resting on my neck.
If you call me at work and there are several extra rings I am slowly reaching for the phone.
The doctor gave me drugs. Which has caused some interesting "drunk" incidents here at work.
But I am more frustrated at how sick and injured I have been in the last couple of years. It is like my sick days have exploded and I keep getting hurt. It kinda makes me a little mad. I want to go like 2 months without running off to the doctor. So I think I need prayers for a bubble, just to give myself some time to heal...
That would be nice.

Snickity snack bloggety black...
I promise to get to the boys birthday blog soon... real soon. But in case you are dying to see the cutest 1st birthday party ever, yes be prepared to be assaulted with cute, then check out this facebook album of Dylan and Brody's 1st Birthday Party.
Blog Snacks:: So yesterday on my morning commute I was behind a Brinks document destruction truck. Fun. But what was leaking out of it, unsecured I might add? Document confetti. Ironic much?
:: I was talking with my friend Melissa today about the by gone days of coloring books. They just aren't good anymore. They usually involve stickers or have simple large pictures. I remember the best coloring book of all time. Now I am not a huge Barbie fan but as far as coloring book quality goes, they were the finest!
I did a little research to see if it was still available. And alas it is not. But here is a nod to the good old coloring books.
