uh sorry..

Dear Bloggers,
So I was probably in a bad mood yesterday. What is up with those lately? I have had a crazy brain freeze like headache all dang week. After I blogged how much I was over blogging I thought of 3 new blog topics so maybe that was premature.

******
Maybe people are dying to hear a Rigby Story?! Poor Abbey, she is so normal and never gets her self into blog worthy stories. So in all of this Rigby stuff, Abbey is sunning in the corner saying, "My family is so weird." *eyeroll*

For high school graduation I got a pop up hamper as a present. Well in Washington I was doing laundry and Abbey got into the empty hamper! It was the cutest thing. So I donated it to them to play in. I turn the hamper on its side. They make these $20 "play caverns" now that is basically the hamper on its side. (I am a kitty toy genius) Usually one will get inside and the other will try and squash the hamper with the other kitty inside. It is pretty funny.

A couple nights ago David calls me into the living room telling me I had to see this. And darn me for not getting a picture. But Rigby was in the hamper, turned right side up (like in the picture) unable to get out. It was sad but also pretty funny. Of course if we weren't there he could have gotten out, he just needed to tip it back over. Oh silly kitty.
*******

Sorry for the false I quit alarm. And I don't give up.

Also, I pretty much hate my life because I missed So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) AGAIN last night. What is up with my DVR? It was probably in a bad mood like me.

boring my bloggers...

So I have been toying with retiring my blog. I don't really have much to say anymore.

* I don't have kids. and the amount of pictures I post of my kitties is becoming unhealthy.
* No house. No virtual tours.
* No exciting job news. In fact I am more ashamed of my work than anything.
* No exciting weekend reviews. I am pooped on the weekends and poor. All of my friends are tired and poor. Although not in the poverty line this year! WooHOO!

What do I even have to say anymore. My life is boring.

But, we did make a quick trip up to Ft. Worth this weekend to see the boys. What do can I say to tell you how cute they are? I mean they are just precious.
Also, Grammy made her famous chocolate ice cream. It is seriously in my dreams. And this year she made it with a dark cocoa, holy moley, out of control good.

While we were up there I got to make a quick trip to Lewisville to see Jeni. She is 8 months pregnant!! Super cute. I also got to see their house for the very first time. It was so nice to see her again. I hadn't seen her since October. I am going up there next weekend for her baby shower and hopefully I will have some pictures. Can't wait for this ginger baby!

So, as I mentioned before, that is it. Cause that is my life.

Oh the places I have gone...

It is funny what traffic will encourage you to think about... boredom is rampant in my 2 hours everyday spent in my car.

David and I have lived in many places. I noticed this morning that it was sunny, and I thought to myself that I hadn't noticed the sun in a while. When I first moved back to Texas from Washington it was a bombardment of sunshine.

So my mind traveled to the places we have lived....

Virginia Beach
I am thankful to Va Beach, now I know that as bad as things are elsewhere, at least they aren't as bad as VA Beach.
1. The "Mexican" food is foul. I can not express in words how gross it is, short of violent gaging. Friends, never eat at Senior Fox. They are severely confused. They consider a taco, a tamale, and an enchilada the same thing. I kid you not. A flour tortilla stuff with cheese and topped with a strange mystery sauce are served as all three. Gag!!
2. Just because you serve sweet tea, does not mean you are a southern state. Virginia, acknowledge your Yankee-hood.
3. It was not all bad. There are dolphins, deer and you are just a short drive from North Carolina. (North Carolina was great. I was greatly impressed.)

Port Orchard/Bremerton/Silverdale
Dear aforementioned towns,

If you let the sun come out I would love you.

Thank you,
Vitamin D Deprived

P.S.- Get some street lights. It gets too dark out their. And while you are at it, some reflective bumps for lane dividers or maybe some reflective stripes, again it is too dark.

Yes. That is the number one wrong thing with my Washington experience. The two years we were up there, were the two rainiest seasons on record. And as crazy as this sounds, they don't know how to drive in the rain either! How is that possible?
1. They have the best parks ever. So pretty. (with wild seals!)
2. Descent Mexican food.

Overall not bad. If it were sunny and not 3,000 miles from home I would have liked it so much better.

Abilene
The black hole. In 2005 I said the words that you should never say about Abilene, "Goodbye forever Abilene." Shortly after that, Leah and Michael moved back there... I knew it was going to suck me back in too. And yes I did move back to Abilene. Never say never.
Oh Abilene.
It is hard to boil Abilene down to good and bad. It was just not for me, how bout that? It just is what it is. I have had some really good times in Abilene, but also the worst moments of my life also happened there.
1. Bueno. Your 1 saving grace.
2. Drainage. You can not use the streets as your drainage system, this is just stupid.
3. Abilenians, Abilene is not a big city. It is tiny and a bubble. I like being in Houston where everyone does not know your name, and hardly anyone knows what ACU is.

* A small aside to the residents of Abilene, please be nice to your poor Dillard's sales associate. I know you want to buy a wedding gift, but they have a sucky kiosk. And they do the best they can in pantie hose, they are extremely distracting.

Which brings me to Houston. My home. Plain and simple.

Write it out..

I have been in a crummy mood all week. No good explination, just am.

Rigby Update
He is doing splendid. He is my brand new kitty. What I love the most about him now is that he purrs. He would never purr before and I just thought that is who he was. But now, rumble rumble. It almost makes me cry when I hear it.

I am really thankful we got this diagnosis. I wish we could have gotten it sooner so the poor little guy didn't suffer for 3 1/2 years.

Birthday Girl
My sis Leah celebrated her birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday sis!! Hope you had a great day.

Free as a Bird
David is done with classes. He finished his last final yesterday. He now has 2 weeks off till summer school. Hopefully I can keep him busy.
