How strange

How strange it is to be anything at all. —Alice

It is silliness to try and plot the points of your life.  Paths wind and bend and turn back onto themselves.

The last few months have been strange.
I quit my new job
David quit his job
David got a new job
I'm unemployed... by choice, sort of

I quit my job because it just wasn't a good fit, which sounds like an interview answer but is the truth. I could have stayed and been miserable for probably a year and kept a responsible looking resume but really what is the point of that?

During the week I was contemplating quitting David had a networking meeting, liked the guy and stumbled into an interview. I quit and a day later David accepted a new job. We were quiet and just listened and felt like this is where we were being guided.

So, what's been going on since February?
Well when you wait your whole life for something and you get it and it isn't what you wanted and you are so so tired and don't have healthcare and don't know how you will pay for car repairs and sit alone in the house where thoughts aren't drowned out my coworkers and work calls...

Things, feelings, crept up on me I wasn't expecting. I slipped. Found myself dealing, again, with depression and anxiety leading me to an unhealthy place.

Right now the best thing for me is to take care of myself and figure out what I want and practicing a little (LOT) of self-care. So I'm not working. And not listening to my inner voice telling me I am lazy, meditating to the idea of freedom - flying in a light blue sky, the kind with wispy brushed clouds - practicing yoga, slowly pealing back some protective layers and trying to remember what Analee used to want and like and laugh about.

It is a wonder how anything happens. Big things and small things are all equal parts random and fate.

civic doodie

In fourth grade our gifted and talented program debuted a dramatic rendition of The True Story of the Three Little Pigs. I was Juror #3 and the jury had two lines; rapping "Here comes the judge" as she entered stage left (sometimes we'd say here comes the fudge in rehearsal) and the last lines of the play "We've heard the story but we don't know, lock him up or let him go? YOU be the jury and YOU decide!" I still remember. Gifted AND talented.

That was my only time to serve on a jury until this Tuesday.

A couple of weeks ago, I was having a terrible, very bad, no good, horrible day. I came home and actually bent down to get the mail and saw an official looking letter. Earlier that week, my coworker had received a refund from HCAD saying she had overpaid on property taxes. Could it be?! Money?!!

No.
It was a jury summons.

I crumpled it up and threw it with all my might to the gound, flung my flip flops of my feet, tossed my purse an alarming distance and ran crying to the bedroom. Straw meet camels back.

I wasn't sad or frustrated I was ANGRY. Furious. And spare me the civic duty speech, dp tried that and was almost murdered. To make matters worse, I was not summoned to the nice, new, fancy downtown jury facility with wifi and new holding area... I wish.

Instead, I was summoned to Justice of the Peace Court 7 Place 1. My fancy jury holding room was in a building called Place 1. hmmmm and they shared the building with a teen health clinic. hmmmmmm. And there was zip information on this random place online.

Place 1
So Tuesday I packed up early from work (downtown) and hauled my butt to the UofH area and there was no one in the parking lot. Not another car, not even a bird picking at trash. Eventually a couple other cars started to show up, and employees parked in their reserved spots. I reluctantly left the happy solitary quiet of my car and walked into Place 1.

There was no office, no information window, no doors leading to sad government offices, nope. Just the court room. Just.the.courtroom. hmmmmm. So I went inside, turned in my summons, sat down on an unoccupied pew and waited. Some people were reading, some were chatting about their kids and standardized tests. I brought a book... but there was some pretty dang choice people watching opportunities... I couldn't focus.

We sat there for an hour. Then the clerk told us there all the cases scheduled for today settled and we could go home when the judge released us. Judges must be busy people cause we waiting forever for her to come talk to us. When she did she gave me a speech about my civi duty (bla bla bla) and officially released us.

Before we left she said
Aren't you glad you didn't have to come all the way downtown?
Thrilled.

uninvited

Have you ever showed up at a dinner party and the hostess had no idea you were coming?
Embarrassment and anxiety swirling around every guest. Shifting eyes. The hostess is gracious and welcoming and finds a tattered chair for the corner of the dining table.

That's how I feel about my life.
I showed up without an invitation and ruined the energy of the party.

Everyone wants to comfort me and say the more the merrier, but there clearly isn't room at the table.

well, now Luke my friend

I have a love-hate relationship with my name. The whole dang thing is hard to say and spell and doesn't flow. Growing up I told myself it was cool to have a unique name all whilst desperately trying to get a nickname that wasn't "Anawee."

Sometimes I like to pretend my name has some meaning to make up for the time wasted trying to spell my email address over the phone before I give up and say What's yours and I'll email you. In Washington, someone asked if I was named after The Weight by The Band so I went with it.

Yes, my parents named me after a song. It was either Analee or Crazy Chester.

(I'm not a linear story teller. I don't know how I will get you guys to the place we are going but if you hang in there, we'll get there.
If you are unfamiliar with The Weight, I'm about to make a left hand turn, and it would be alright with me if you followed this link to listen to the excerpt or google The Weight Lyrics to try and unpack the "Crazy Chester" reference.
Once you've taken that mental break come on back and finish the post, I will not promise it will be more interesting than analysing lyrics from a song I wasn't named after but maybe you are bored and need something to read.)

I kinda like the meaning of this song.
How life sometimes hands you more than you bargain for and more than you can swallow. (Amen?) I don't fully subscribe to the cliche "God doesn't give you more than you can handle."
Not too sure God hands out challenges like dealing cards, rather you just happened to come upon a rain storm and maybe it will last just a minute and you won't get soaked and then again maybe it will last an hour and your lawn will get a nice soaking.
Life is pretty random and not always spectacular.

Melissa pointed out I only blogged once in October. (I'll take a second here to mention she hasn't blogged in THREE months, but no judgement here) While looking back on October for a wee re-cap post - October wasn't terrible, nostalgia has already taken hold. But then I read all the posts I started, posted, re-read and took down. Eeesh. I wasn't happy. I was
stressed
sad
overwhelmed
exhausted

I'm not saying I don't want readers/biographical historians to know the truth of this past year. (Truth: it has been doo doo) But this is why I don't like to post the freak-out posts:

in the moment The Weight is too much, but it doesn't linger.

Maybe I only say this because I see a  faint spec of light at the end of the tunnel.
Maybe later today we will be in the middle of more rain
or maybe no rain at all.

well enough is half done

Mary Poppins liked to clean the nursery but I didn't see her cleaning out her bag. In fact, she seemed to have a bit of a hoarding problem.

What the heck didn't she pull out of that carpet bag?! A moose?!

But I wish I had a little MP magic for my purse which can get a little scary. I don't know how it happens, I clean it out and then all the sudden I have
4 necklaces, 2 cell phones, 2 flash drives, pens, candy, a kindle, a birthday drawing for my mommy, a CoStar key, so many lipsticks and balms... and a pistachio.

That was in April.

I tried to find my keys this weekend and I was digging for a whole afternoon. This morning I went to put on my make up and didn't want to stick my hand in.... for fear a monster would bite it off! ACH! (I'm imagining the sand monster in Star Wars)

Don't look directly at it.That's bad right?
But at least there was only ONE necklace and no loose pistachios.

I dare you to look in your purse and tell me there aren't at least three expired coupons
and trash your husband slipped into the front pocket- cause you are the Carrier of Trash?

-- -- -- -- --

In other random, note worthy? things. I'm totally stuck on my green mini day dream. This little painting was looking down on me while I slept at Grammy's house this weekend. I've looked at it maybe 400 times. But this weekend I saw the ADORABLE mint green mini parked up the street. See the little mini parked on the corner? So cute.

AND Monday on the drive home from work, what did we see? A.Mint.Green.Mini. If that isn't a sign....
AND on Tuesday USAA called to tell us they wouldn't total dp's car and are fixing it. So long little mint mini. I was going to name you Monte Pistachio.

Little things

I like little things. I'm not sure why, maybe because I am little.

Tiny boxes and mini tea cups? Yup
Baby kittens and flying squirrels? Geez
Starbursts cut into itsy bisty cubes? Forget about it!

And when I'm stressed I don't think in complete thoughts making it hard to write a blog. Dp has to listen to 3 stories simultaneously, in bits as they come out. I wish I could plug him into my brain and download all my data into his brain. Talking is a chore sometimes.

Plug yourself in for the following data dump

:: A reader question!
The red "stuff" in the birthday post is a giant gummy bear. Doesn't every one's sister give them huge gummies for birthdays and then use them in place of birthday cake? I thought this was normal behavior.
PS- I also like giant versions of tiny things. That makes sense right?

:: I consider myself quite capable if not darn right good at making eggs. But my daddy is a GENIUS at eggs. Never had any better.

:: I'd like a mint green mini cooper. Dear Santa....

:: It is my Grammy's 81st birthday today! I don't get up to see her as much as I like but I'm glad I could be here on her birthday. And I bought her peaches.

:: I think my mom just named a step stool Tall David.

:: I have no cute stories or pictures of the cats. I thought I'd mention that as proof that I'm not ALL the way off the deep end yet, in case you follow me on instagram and see the 900 pictures of my babies.

That is all the little things.

twenty ninety

Fully aware of my procrastination, I feel that I need to wrap up the birthday post that has been sitting in my draft folder aging as fast as me. Not to mention I have a back log of post ideas to thrill and entertain you all with.

This birthday everyone completely spoiled me, birthday celebrating went on for days and days and by the time it was over it was time for dp's birthday.

FRIDAY JULY 20 - my work bosom buddies surprised me with a darcy haircut! The level of trickery and planning blew me away. Remember how I said I was spoiled? Cause I am.

Friday night was Mexican as usual. I can't say no. I just can't. And afterwards we went back to the house and watched War Horse which was really good. Only 1 dead horse and I cried 3/4 a much Hildalgo and if you compare this to Toy Story 3 or The Muppets I cried just a drop. I still love you Kermie.

SATURDAY JULY 21 -- THE BIG DAY. The big 29. I already felt totally spoiled and didn't expect anything else.
  • The lawn man came!! We were pushing 7 inches in shady spots of the yard and the neighborhood cats were doing high kicks in the grass. I think a squirrel got lost. And the jungle lawn almost broke the mower.
  • My mom took me on a shopping spree to H&M and I found 2 cardis, one is striped. I have a small addiction. The Bay Area is crowded, it was like being in the Galleria area but not knowing any back roads. We looked at the traffic going north on 45 and shuddered and stopped into Pinkberry instead. By the time we left traffic was "moving."
  • Dp got me james avery earrings and a card - first line was "To my sexy husband"... he didn't read it thoroughly... or maybe I need to bump up the femininity by A LOT.
  • We went to some steak restaurant in Pearland. I can never think of the name. I always think it is Logan's and it never is. We'll call it Birthday Beef. There weren't any peanuts on the table so I made dp take a handful when we left, his 1 handful was 2 overflowing handfuls to me. I like peanuts.
  • After dinner we watched Moneyball and Analee's birthday was over.
NOT!
SUNDAY JULY 22 - mom and dad dropped off a new pillow for The Chair, cake!, and sunflowers. They sang happy birthday to the both of us, and Analee's birthday was over.

NOT!
AUGUST 1 - work birthday lunch for me & mel at spaghetti warehouse
AUGUST 2 - birthday dinner at Carrabbas with Micheletti Clan

But really, after that Analee's birthday was over.

dog days

Can it be the dog days of summer in June?

I feel boring and stagnant.
I can't really update my blog with stuff I'm not doing. Our lives haven't had much excitement or change lately.

And I'm avoiding writing my quarterly narrative (due today) and I dont even have an idea of what my topic is. When I figure it out I'll be sure to let you know.

:: David is still cold calling. Gross right? but if there was anyone who could cold call it is DP.
:: David is a lot less talkative at home.
:: David might be close to closing a deal sometime in the future. Crossing my figures.
:: 100% commission is scary
:: I had two cups of hot chocolate this morning because I'm an adult and I can do that sort of thing.
:: We sold the dead car. Finally out of the street.
:: Seriously? Another infection? I'm on antibiotics, which I hate, and they hate me and I've been grumpy all week and last week too.
:: My pine trees are dropping their summer needles and I'm avoiding raking.
:: Avoidance is a theme in my life?
:: Neighbor's lawn man ran over my soaker hose, sliced it in 4 places and left it for dead in my driveway. Thank you sir. How kind of you.
:: So You Think You Can Dance has started. YAY!
:: All my instagram pictures are of my cats. I say it with pride.
:: David adopted a stray kitty. I don't say it with pride. We named her Wheels. Another mouth to feed.
:: I've planned a month long get away RV road trip with my mom and Tia Kay. But I haven't told Tia yet and I'm not sure if my mom believes that I'm truly kidnapping her.
:: I've also planned 3 cruises, a tubing trip, layout for a house on the olive ranch and renovations for Michmansion.
:: Still don't have a topic for my narrative.

may days

MAY 15 2012

It is May.
Already.
Did you know that? Well it is, even if you still think it is April.

:: May is always a great month at work because we aren't closing the quarter. There are just 3 small months a year when we aren't analysing leasing activity, vacancy rates, projections for next quarter. May is a catch up/ clean up month.

:: Grooming. I need a hair cut so bad. I miss Darcy. She probably thinks I broke up with her. But my hair is long and shaggy whilst saving for a Darcy cut. I'm asking for a hair cut for my birthday.

Also my adorable (not) little (not) mustache needs dealing with. As in, I have a better mustache than dp. Love getting older (not).

:: The past month or two Dp & I have found 6 cars we like and would buy. So we drive out to the car dealership and get there and someone is in the office signing the papers right then and there. Monday we found a car we didn't hate.
Car Requirements:
1. Does dp fit?
2.Can dp drive without his knees activating the turn signal?
3. That's all.
Anyways, we bought a car. And now starts the praying that he won't break this one. 2 cars in as many years is not a good track record. I should have bought him a bicycle.

:: David finished his course work for his real estate license due largely to my father forcing him to sit down after Friday Night Mexican and completing quizes together, while my mom and I read free kindle books and tell Mav and Jojo to stop "wrestling."

:: I've been feeling the need to be creative. I know this because I get restless, start painting my nails crazy colors, researching new hair colors and feeling insatiably RESTLESS.
So I painted our porch rug.
I hate it.
Adjustments need to be made, and if it stays dry this weekend (I'm not complaining, after last year I welcome whatever amounts of rain wish to fall on my tress & lawn) I'll add stripes or something.

:: I really dont like the spring. Can you get seasonal depression in the spring? I'm noticing a pattern. I have no concrete complaints about the spring, but every April I'm ready for a 3 month nap. With all my "feelings," stress and anxiety I've just been a big mess.

I saw this video a few months ago. But I really think I need to hear this, especially in the spring.

it WILL be ok

*optional soundtrack for today's post

We want what we want when we want it without out mayo and tomatoes.

A couple of weeks ago we were having unseasonable warm weather and people groaned because it is January. But a month ago when it was cool the same people groaned because it was "too cold". Either we complain about no seasons or the change in seasons, no matter what it is never just right.

Change is like that.
Some changes are painful, push and tug at you.
Some changes are slow and natural.
Some changes are violent.
Some changes are exciting and welcomed after celebratory dinners and hopefully cake.

It would be nice if all change was easy and desired, but most change is difficult.

This week I expected to be struggling with the pain of missing MeeMaw, especially today. Yet, I am surprised with the peace of today. I miss her a lot-- MeeMawisms, and MeeMaw treats, MeeMaw news and MeeMaw smell.

Something about her death changed me.
I watched her fight and desire life so intently. And I listened to her wisdom while she faced death.
Timing is something I am not good at but God is. I lost MeeMaw a year ago, but gained a part of myself. And I will never go back to fearing life. I will always desire and fight for a good life, be fearless of change, and take advantage of time.

She told me over and over not to be sad as her little body gave out, that everything will be ok.

And it is.
Everything is not the same.
But everything is ok and just as it should be.

are we there yet?

:: it is hard not to shop. I have about 3000 projects I'd like to work on but can't shop for supplies. but I am happy for $8 netflicks. We use the mess out of that subscription. They should probably charge us more for the amount of tv/movies we watch. and it saves on gas money.

:: we canceled our smart phones and reverted back to the old, pressing buttons, just for calling and texting phones. I thought it might be painful but it hasn't. I haven't been on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest in days, you guys - I have NO IDEA what is going on out there in the world.

I guess you might feel sorry for me if I didn't have a kindle, ipad, netbook, 2 desktop computers and a wii that can all connect to the internet. but my phone...

:: this is my punishment for not letting my wrist rest. dp is making me wear the beast of wrist braces. that is the last time I'm marrying a doctor's son, they always want you to take medicine and go to the doctor and wear obnoxious braces.

How would I fix my wrist? Pretend it isn't there, whine and buy myself a kitten to make it all better. Homeopathic.

favorite things friday

*optional soundtrack for today's post

I've been thinking tomorrow was friday since tuesday. that's the kind of week it was.

- I think I would like grow olives as a profession. I'm not sure I'm an office worker. I can see David and me in the hill country growing olives. I need a financial backer, know any?

- The kitties got a water fountain from Santa, and Rigby finally drank from the stream. He has had wet ears for weeks now.

- Why does the dr insist on weighing me for a hurt wrist? I chose not to look at the scale.

- Goals for This Weekend -- de-christmas, clean out my purse, bra shopping (grrrrr), something unexpected, spring cleaning

What I'm digging lately:

Fabri-Tac - best.glue.ever. It dries fast, sticks to anything and holds lik super glue. I've wasted my life with a glue gun, modpodge, super glue, elmers, spray adhesive. Fabri-tac is it for me. We are married now.
Glitzerland - the perfect gold for my pink skin. I haven't worn nail polish since middle school, but ever since Sally Hanson Salon Effects I'm addicted.

when it rains too much

when it rains too much
your windshield wiper will break mid-swipe
and dangle perilously as you drive on the freeway

at least our grass is enjoying the rain and is practically a tropical rainforest now.

little things

The Countdown is getting smaller and smaller, trip anxiety is growing and growing. I really shouldn't be allowed travel, I get so worked up before hand. Big knot in my stomach when I think about less than a week.

Anyhoo, a couple noteworthy things to keep my mind off of trip anxiety:

1. KCP wins a giant award for surprising me WITH MY CEREAL on Sunday. I kinda wanted to cry happy tears but was a teense embarrassed. It is as delicious as I remember!

2. BIGGEST OMG EVER! The Little Couple- Bill and Jen came into David's work last night! I'm still giddy.

ps- #3
I got asked if I was 17 this weekend! When I am 36 will I look 27?! When I am 45 will I look 36?! Hoping this trend continues. ;)

i ran a red light

June is a busy month for us this year and we kicked off the first weekend in June with a packed weekend.

How can I have more if I haven’t had any yet?
Friday night Mexican was a little different. We went to Amazon Grill, it is kind of ridiculous good. Got my normal #7 Puntas with the black bean sauce. (eat it. it is incredible), this fresh jicama salad called escabeche vegetables- love love love.

Then somehow I convinced us to get the s’mores. I had fun eating them, David had fun burning things. It was kinda perfect. And it made me want to go camping.

I ran a red light… literallySaturday was our 5k Heights Fun Run. This one was a lot more enjoyable, 90% shade, a breeze, and lots of great people watching. Oh yeah and we didn’t have to walk on a slanted freeway entrance.

My goal was to run more than we did on the last one, which was easy considering I was dead at mile one in our last 5K. And I can say I ran under many red lights up and down Heights Blvd. Silly pun.

Yes Ma’ams!
Saturday evening we got Spanish Flowers, delish. I just can’t live without that place. And then we stopped by Mam’s House of Ice for our first snowball of the season. YAY! We got blackberry and some kind of orchid cream. Yumms! (I had intended on taking a picture, but I ate it…)

254
Still on Saturday, we parked in my garage and walked to the ball game (free parking!). But we walked a ton that day. Game was fun, I like going to the ball park, it is just a fun experience. It was a pretty full park considering how much we suck as a team.

We tried practicing picture taking because we have under 20 days till the cruise and Dp always makes weird faces in pictures. See…
*We were playing the cubs and dp definitely did wear Cub's blue...

RexySunday we got to meet “little” Rex. He was 22” when he was born!! He is a cutie. Can you tell from the fuzzy pic? Thanks David. We are going to have to practice practice practice before we cruise.
My Brown ThumbI murder plants. Gosh I really wish I had a green thumb and wouldn’t kill everything that comes into my possession. So I had two plants some lavender or sage or something and a blue daze that weren’t completely dead, so I dug out all the crispy brown guys from my pots and watered the “still living” plants. So I get it now, you have to water the plants… right, we’ll try that this time.

I can’t wait to drive up to my house tonight and see the porch free of Plant-Morgue.

CRUISIN’EEEEEEP is the only sound I can make to convey the excitement I have for the cruise! But the past couple of weeks of book hunting have not produced a reading selection for the cruise.

Help! How do I pick a great book/s for my trip?

touch for the first time

Do you remember PE class, and stretching? The coach would say stretch your arms in the air and reach for the sky.
Reach for the sky.

We are goal setters- when I get some extra money, when I am 30 years old, when I am skinny enough, when I finish, when I start… And some of these goals we actually reach.

I want to be the person who stops at the finish line and stands happy and peaceful for a long while having reached for the sky and touched it. Today I have reached my goal.

And I delight in it.

seven

Some bloggers blog, I start blogs then stop blogs.

I have seven drafts of whats been going on since I stopped blogging.

Highlights!

* I let it slip that I have a blog, and two guys at work think I blog secret gossip about the office. They have been searching for this little gem, haven't found it. And now I feel compelled to actually spill secrets... except I don't have any.

* I lost my voice a couple weeks ago. It was interesting. I sat in the file room, quarantined. P.S- husbands will respond to clicks and sssssssssssssss, it is quite effective. So effective that you might mistakenly do it to a friend. Oops.

* I read my piece at writing class. It wasn't horrible. I did have a coughing fit in the middle, started tearing up and drips tears (and snot) on my paper. Joys of a writer.

* I got in accident on way to writing class, I was T-Boned... by a bicycle. I was stopped in traffic and a man on a bike just ran into me, flipped over the truck of my car and got up and rode away. It was very bizarre.

*Oh yes, I got a new camera. Its a TREAT. Its one of those nice ones that people usually get to take picture of their children, and I take pictures of the cats. Training relentlessly for my crazy cat lady status.

* Look out Meg White (wiki) I am a Beatles Rock Band goddess! Yes I play the drums and our band JoJoLo is kicking butt. Surprised? Well, you shouldn't be. I have awoken the sleeping drumming beast and I can not control her.

The End

-don't you feel all caught up?

its my muse

* Hello Friday!

* I'm sick. Thanks fellow employee. (I should post his name on the internet and shame him publicly for sharing germs, you know who you are. that stupid fist bump.)

* Christi has declared today National Low-Level Employee Appreciation Day. There will be cake. I second the motion.

* Cake makes me happy.

* I had cake last weekend...

* I have an opportunity to have cake this weekend at my cousin's birthday- but probably won't. There is a travel issue- I haven't mastered teleportation. Working on it.

* Diet? What diet? GIMME CAKE!
cake!

Why I gave up empire waists

Maybe I should have entitled this How I cheated death and gave up empire waists. Either way here it goes.

My daily schedule goes as follows:
745- get to work, open office, make coffee
800-sit at desk, mindlessly staring at excel
1200- lunch & retrieve mail
100-sit at desk, mindlessly staring at excel
400-potty break, take mail to mail room

The 400 hour; this is my favorite part of the day because I like to imagine myself running/skipping out the door and never coming back. However, I always come back.

Yesterday, I didn't come back. I stayed in the elevator for 30 extra minutes. Here is that story.

I get into the ele with another woman, we press our respective floors, doors close. All is normal. We go up, a little sluggish, but nothing alarming. We reach my floor. Doors don't open. Elevator drops. (you may all gasp here) I always imagine myself screaming at this point but I think a more accurate description is- JAW DROPS.

Obviously the emergency breaks came on or I wouldn't be typing this. I press the call button, and they tell us help is on the way! Hooray! But the ele drops again and the breaks come on. We decide to put the ele on stop.
I must say the lady I was stuck with was someone I probably will never forget. She reminded me of Abilene, suede shoes, pleated jeans and salt and pepper hair-- heavy on the salt. I'm not crying at this point, but I know my cheeks are red and hot, I really hate that my fair skin shows my emotions. So maybe I looked like I was upset, (I WAS).

She looked at me and sweetly said "oh we'll be alright. we'll be just fine"
Are you expecting? (pats tummy)

I am sure there are occasions in which a woman would love to squeal YES! but they are few and far between. This was an occasions in which I had to say
no... um this top is flowy? and this uh empire waist...*cheeks getting redder*

Oh. I'm sorry. I just... I thought.. uh...
No no. Its ok. I have the tummy, just no baby in it. (pat tummy made of fat) *redder*

If falling to my death wasn't bad enough, they will have to determine if I am pregnant or just a butterball. Maybe I shouldn't have stuffed that brownie in my mouth just now. At least I went out with chocolate in my stomach remains, that is the only way to go right?
So what company do you work for?
*********, you?
**.

Oh good good.

Now they ask us to switch the ele to run to see if the doors will open. Ok? Elevator now does a poggo- up down up down- really fast. Here I must admit I thought, oh ok I really think we might die. You would too, it was really scary. We put the ele on back on stop.
I had to climb out of the roof of an ele in san antonio once. We were on our way to a gala, I was in a ball gown. They opened up the roof ad stuck a ladder in and we just climbed up. If I can do it in a gown, we can do it again.
Ok. (lord please don't make me climb out of the roof)

Now, picture in your mind a teenager learning to drive a stick shift, now imagine that car driving down an elevator shaft. That jerky, clunking is how we made it back down to the first floor. The doors open and we run out, seriously run out.

As we ride up our second elevator to get back to work she says, again sweetly

You know I didn't say it at the time but I thought we were 'splat,' and she makes a squashing motion with her two hands.

Gulp.

It only took me about an hour to calm down and stop shaking. But I had nightmares about not finding jeans in the whole store to fit me. I haven't been motivated to lose weight, because I have alot on my plate right now, and I am kinda overwhelmed as is. But there is no ignoring the pregnant comment.

Lastly, I might mention that I had not gotten my potty break. I didn't know how long I would be in there and was pretty worried I was going to have to tinkle in the corner.

Pregnant women do have to tinkle all the time.
