a rough week

Last week was kinda a toughy.

Last Monday David and I came home from work and Rigby was limping around and couldn't sit on his bottom. I thought maybe he had hurt his little leg again.

Rigby was acting really funny and meowing so much I just knew he was in pain. I had to work the next day so David took him to the emergency vet. And we found out Rigby had a urinary blockage. The ER put in a catheter and an IV to flush him out. It can be serious if you don't notice something is wrong right away. The ER vet said we were smart to bring him in .

We picked him up on Tuesday and took him to our regular vet, who is amazing by the way, where he had to stay longer for observation and for more fluids. Poor little guy.

So when we did get to bring him home we had to get some new prescription food, and 2 weeks of pills to give him. (Yeah. Giving cats pills, not fun. But Lil' Buttons is great at it.) Abbey was not happy to have him back smelling so funny, but she missed him, I know it.

It has taken about a week to have my little family back to normal.
