Every year right around the first cool front I watch White Christmas, because we all want snow snow snooooooooooow! Bing sings:
"When I worry and I can't sleep
I count my blessing instead of sheep.
And I fall asleep counting my blessings."
This November every Friday I am going to list what I've been thankful for this week. Because sometimes there is a heavy weight of negative on your shoulders and the only way to fight dark is with light.
1. Kitty snuggles. Abbey takes care of me when I am sick and Rigby takes care of me when I am sad, and what more could a girl need?
2. Steaked potatoes, steaked potatoes, potatoes that are steaked, steaked potatoes!
3. Cooler weather. Whew, its here!
4. Warm bed in the morning.

Amen. Except for me it's doggy kisses in the morning.
Such a great idea-I'm totally on board with #4...although it makes it hard to get out and start my day sometimes haha
ANalee,
I just checked and discovered you are"back on blog"
Yea! I've missed your sweet, honest little insights on life.
I think counting little blessings, which sounds so trite and simplistic, is of course, very deep and meaningful, not trite at all. It causes me to: take joy in little things ( which i often forget to do). i.e.- gee, I can move my legs, I can hear out of my right ear, etc etc. And so then helps me to focus on so many blessings, that I'm not even aware of. So thank you for that reminder, I needed that, as I enter the 6th week of bathroom remodeling (" oh, this will only take two, two and a half weeks at most ma'm).
Luv
Tia
