Yesterday on Oprah, she did a powerful show on Autism. I was completely blown away by the struggle these families go through.I was not completely unaware of Autism. My closest friend Christi worked with Autistic children for several years.
But this was the most heartbreaking and inspiring show I have seen in a while.
1 out of 150 children is diagnosed with Autism
That number is unbelievable. And it truly deserves more attention than what it is receiving.

I watched the autism video. It is such a heartbreaking disease. Two of the docs I worked with had little boys with autism. I am sorry I didn't get to see Oprah's show. I don't agree with all of Oprah's messages but she is able to highlight problems, especially with children, that the whole country learns about.
