Another Navy Life Post
I have never had to experice yet the coming and going of friends made in the Navy. David's old roommate and friend in his department is being sent overseas...on Saturday. It is really tough because the three of us really really get along. And his girlfriend was in town for a few weeks and all four of us just really really enjoy each other's company. So it is a bitter goodbye.
We finally found someone that we can trust and be really good friends and the Navy sends him away. My first experience with a goodbye I didn't expect. But tht is the military for you. A life apart, a life of goodbyes. It is one of the hardest jobs out there. Goodie goodie gumdrops! I am so glad got sucked into this life.
Just one of the bittersweet aspects of the military life.
